Albi hosts the 2019 Tour de France!

A 13th meeting for Albi with the big loop since 1953: 1953, 1955, 1959, 1968, 1971, 1975, 1991, 1994, 1999, 2005, 2007, and 2013 for the 100th edition of the Tour de France.

Albi has already welcomed 8 times a finish from the TDF, 7 times a start and 2 stages against the clock.

For Albi, this new appointment with the Tour de France will be one of the highlights of the summer season for Albigensians, visitors and lovers of the great loop.

Albi, designated by the newspaper as the "Sports City 2012" Team, will once again live to the rhythm of a high-level sporting event.

The country's child, Lilian Calmejane, welcomes this course, which is full of medium mountains, with "a lot of optimism and a lot of enthusiasm". The rider of the Direct Energie team welcomes the Tour's choice to dedicate his hometown next year: "The Tour will stop in Albi for three days and this is something quite new and I'm not sure I'll relive it in my career, so you'll really have to enjoy it. This will be a very special moment for the family and all those who follow me."
